SRINAGAR: Fire exchange was reported from a Kupwara village. Reports said that army and police had taken Jagtyial village in a cordon when the fire exchange was reported.
The cordon was laid in response to reports that militants are in the village. The initial round of firing has led to an injury to a police man who was part of the cordon operation. His identity was not immediately known.
