SRINAGAR: An encounter had broken out at around 3 am in Pulwama’s Batnoor village. It had started on inputs that militants were present in the village.
Police said that while cordon was being implemented, there was fire exchange between the two sides for some time.
However, police sources said that the militants fled and the encounter was called off early this morning.
