Srinagar
Encounter started in Samboora area of Pulwama district in southern part of Kashmir after Army and J&K police laid siege to a village.
Reports said that after the inputs about the presence of militants as the forces were zeroing in on the suspected house, militants opened fire ensuing a gunfight.
Meanwhile, locals sources said that local youth have started pelting stones on the forces who are engaged in the gunfight. Forces retaliated by firing tear smoke shells.
