SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Bank invites online applications for engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices Act-1961 for the financial year 2023-24. Selected candidates will be engaged in branches/offices in the respective districts at the discretion of the Bank.

A total of 390 vacancies have been notified by the Human Resources department of the bank.

According to the notification, the minimum qualification for eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree in any subject and the apprentice is required to be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding in the local language of their respective region or area. The domiciles of the areas will be given preference.

The interested candidates should have attained a minimum age of 20 years and the maximum age limit has been set at 28 years. However, in the case of categories like SC/ST/OBC/PwBD the age limit will be subjected to the government guidelines.

The apprenticeship will require one-year training during which the apprentices will be eligible for a stipend of Rs 7500 +1500 per month. The training will take place during normal working hours.

The engagement of the Apprentices will be based on the merit obtained in the online examination and there will be negative marks for wrong answers marked in the objective tests. The language medium of examination will be English only.  The submission of online applications will be open from 29-08-2023 to 12-09-2023.
