The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal urged the District Nodal Officer ISM(AYUSH) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad to ensure that all frontline workers deployed in COVID-19 duties in the district, who are more susceptible to the infection are provided Immunity Boosting Medicines to enhance their immunity.

The DC made these remarks while flagging off the team of doctors along with Immunity Booster Medicines from the Mini Secretariat Complex, Ganderbal, for the distribution of these medicines in the district among the frontline workers. These immunity booster medicines are being distributed free of cost by the Department of Indian System of Medicine (AYUSH).

ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, DIO, Ganderbal, Riyaz Ahamd Fazili and other officials of AYUSH were also present on the occasion.

The District Nodal officer ISM informed that immunity booster medicines have already been distributed among the frontline workers at CMO office, Ganderbal, SSP Office Ganderbal, BMO office Kachan, Municipality Office Ganderbal and DC Office Ganderbal.

While interacting with the team members, the DC exhorted them to aware the people about the efficacy of Indian System of Medicines in the time of pandemic Covid-19, especially among the frontline workers.

He also advised them to maintain social distancing and follow other guidelines as per protocol while distributing medicines.

The DC urged the District Nodal Officer, AYUSH to create awareness among the general public in the district about the importance of these medicines in the reduction of respiratory disorders and in boosting the immunity system.
