SRINAGAR: J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) elected its new body on Saturday during formal election that was held at three polling booths at Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag.

Er Firdous Ahad Bhat Re-Elected As President Of JKMEGA For Second Term

Er Firdous Ahad Bhat and Er Mohammad Asif Ali were the Presidential candidates for the elections wherein Er Firdous Ahad Bhat registered a historical win with a huge margin of votes and was elected as the President of JKMEGA for the second term, reads the statement.

Er Firdous Ahad Bhat while talking to media thanked all the members who voted for the Association whether in his favour or against him and said that I am committed to put in my full energy to fulfil the promises made to the members.

“I believe that the direction is far more important than speed and the Association is going in the right direction and there is no need to change anything but at the same time, there is always scope for improvement where sky is the limit,” he said.

He assured the members that he will leave no stone unturned for larger interest of the Association. He recalled his reaffirmation to the members of JKMEGA that we all together through united efforts, will infuse new power and energy to our Association and redirect our strategies for the early resolution of issues.

He further said that in order to make JKMEGA family more vibrant and large, we will start our new journey with a special membership drive across the UT of J&K, especially in the Jammu region and an election for the Executive council of Jammu will be held very soon.

One of the members of JKMEGA said that he is joyful to see him again in office as the Association does not need leadership who prefer to be on Chair for glory but needs the leadership who take care of those who are in their charge and Er Firdous Ahad Bhat possesses all the qualities of great leader which does not need to be introduced as he has already proved it many times by leading the Association from heart.

Lastly, Er Firdous Ahad Bhat thanked the election body for conducting elections in fare and transparent manner.
