Confirming the development, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the two-day hunger strike, observed from November 12 to 13, is Er Rashid’s symbolic protest against bloodshed and terrorism.

Inam Un Nabi condemned violence in all its forms, stating that “those who spill the blood of innocents are the biggest enemies of humanity,” adding that no justification can legitimise such acts.

He said Jammu Kashmir has “bled and suffered enough,” urging collective efforts to end cycles of violence and restore lasting peace.

Er Rashid, is a Member of Parliament from Baramulla constituency in Jammu Kashmir and the founder of the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP). Rashid has been incarcerated since 2019 in connection with a terror-funding case.
