Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik was arrested on Sunday near Malora when he was on way to Sumbal to participate in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of the two youth who were killed by army.

A JKLF spokesman informed Kashmir Life adding that Yasin Malik has called for shutdown on Monday to protest the Sumbal killings.

Meanwhile, National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Freedom Party chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah also have called for complete shutdown against the Sumbal killings.

Both Shah and Khan were placed under house arrest to prevent from going to Sumbal.

Hurryiat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani too has called for a complete shutdown on Monday, July 1, to protest against the killing of two youth by army.

Meanwhile, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president Er Rashid was arrested near Watlab when he was on way to Sumbal to attend the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of the two youth killed by army. Rashid was later shifted to police station Handwara.

Irfan Ahmad and Irshah Ahmad were killed by army in Markundal village of Sumbal resulting in massive protests in the area.
