Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson on Saturday expressed sorrow over the thrashing of policemen by army in Ganderbal.
The Mirwaiz said that even those aiding “state oppression” are not spared.
“Sad to hear about the severe beating of Kashmiri policemen by army by virtue of being Kashmiri even those who aid state oppression not spared!” he tweeted.
Late Friday night, army men barged into the police Gund in Ganderbal district and thrashed policemen including an officer and ransacked the property. Several policemen were hospitalised for treatment.
