Former Deputy Commissioner Doda Gulzar Ahmad Qureshi besides several others Sunday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in presence of part patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.
Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi said it is the PDP’s pro-people agenda and its performance both in the government and opposition that influenced him to join the party.
Other entrants said the PDP during its brief stint in the government not only brought about a new change on the ground, but also restored the people’s faith in the democratic system. “PDP has now emerged as a genuine voice and viable alternative for the people across the state,” they added.
Speaking on the occasion Mufti welcomes them in the party fold.
