A woman on Tuesday gave birth to a baby girl in an army ambulance, when they were on way to Rajouri hospital, a defense spokesman from Jammu told Kashmir Life.
The spokesman said that residents of a remote village near the Line of Control (LoC) approached the army for the help after an expecting mother complained of a labor pain.
A team of doctors from the army was pressed for the assistance to the house of a said woman.
Soon when the condition of the mother worsened, a team of doctors from the army decided to take her to Rajouri hospital for the specialized treatment, the spokesman said, adding the woman delivered the girl child in the ambulance and both are said to be safe now.
