Facebook on Friday blocked the official Facebook page of ‘Kashmir Ink’—a weekly from the publishers of Greater Kashmir.

“You’re temporarily blocked from posting,” Greater Kashmir quoted an official message from Facebook in a report on Sunday.  “This temporary block will last for 24 hours, and you won’t be able to post on Facebook until it’s finished.”

Kashmir Ink Facebook page had posted the cover image of its latest issue featuring popular militant commander Burhan Wani.

“We removed the post below because it doesn’t follow the Facebook Community Standards,” the report added.”Please bear in mind that people who repeatedly post things that aren’t allowed on Facebook may have their accounts permanently disabled”.

Meanwhile, an independent journalist from Ganderbal district told Kashmir Life that his Facebook account was also blocked two days ago after he updated his display picture having Burhan Wani on it.
