A fake grenade caused a panic at the official residence of Deputy Commissioner Shopian district on Monday after an artificial grenade was lobbed in the premises of his residence.
According to reports, miscreants hurled an artificial grenade towards the official residence of DC Shopian at around 9:45 in the morning which however failed to explode.
Soon after the grenade was thrown a bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot to defuse the device.
