Amid sloganeering and clashes, self claimed ‘sufi alambardaar’ Gulzar Ahmad Bhat was Monday produced before the CJM Budgam who extended his police remand till June1, 2013.
According to sources Gulzar had no defence council but a lawyer from Srinagar advocated for the trail without media coverage.
Outside the court, people raised slogans against the ‘pir’ and pelted stones. During the clash, an official vehicle was damaged.

Gulzar Bhat is booked under FIR No: 40/2013 u/s 376 RPC on a joint complaint from four minor girls who alleged that they have been repeatedly sexually exploited during their stay in the institute claiming preaching religion and headed by Gulzar Ahmed Bhat son Ghulam Qadir Bhat resident of Latter Chadur (Shamasabad) Khan Sahib,
