SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound anguish over the demise of eminent jurist and Senior Advocate Fali S Nariman.
In his condolence message, Dr Farooq said, “As an eminent jurist and a powerful public voice, Nariman ji has left an indelible mark on the landscape of Indian law with his exceptional legal acumen and unwavering commitment to justice. His demise marks the end of an era. I send my sincere condolences to his family, and his numerous admirers during this difficult time.”
In his message,Omar said, “I am saddened to know about the demise of Eminent jurist Senior Advocate Fali S Nariman. Truly, the end of an era. A fierce votary of civil liberties and secularism, Nariman’s was a lifelong defender of constitutional rights and an important voice whose critical opinions about judicial developments carried much weight. My sincere condolences to his loved ones. May the departed soul rest in peace.”
