Speaking to the media, Abdullah described the willingness of both countries to engage in talks as a constructive step toward easing tensions. He reiterated that “war is not the solution to anything” and emphasized the need for sustained diplomatic engagement.

He said ongoing conflicts have led to widespread destruction and disrupted global economies, particularly impacting energy supplies and international markets.

Highlighting the wider implications, Abdullah noted that instability in the region poses risks to people from Jammu and Kashmir working in Gulf countries, potentially affecting their livelihoods. He added that economic uncertainty could result in rising fuel prices and increased financial strain on ordinary citizens.

Calling for peace, Abdullah stressed that “humanity should win” and warned that further escalation would deepen existing global challenges.

He urged India to maintain friendly relations with all nations and play a constructive role in promoting peace through dialogue rather than confrontation. He also called on all countries, including Pakistan, to adopt a cooperative approach.

Abdullah expressed hope that ongoing negotiations would lead to lasting peace, cautioning that failure to de-escalate could have serious economic and humanitarian consequences.
