Kick starting election campaign for upcoming LC polls of Panch Sarpanch quota, union minister and Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday stressed upon party leaders and senior workers to reach to every panchayati Raj representatives so that the success of the coalition candidates is made sure.
Addressing Panches, Sarpanches and workers at party headquarters in Srinagar Dr Farooq said that opposition candidates are sure to face defeat by the hands of coalition.
“I assure you that our candidates will win the elections by a large margin, what is important is that you have to reach to every Panch and Sarpanch so that the programme of National Conference is successfully conveyed,” Dr Farooq said.
National Conference spokesman Tanveer Sadiq confirmed that Dr Farooq Abdullah kick started the election campaign in Kashmir in favor of coalition candidates.
“Farooq Sahab, today started the campaign in favor of coalition candidates in Kashmir,” Tanveer sadiq said adding that he addressed a large number of panches and sarpanches in the presence of Ali Mohammad Dar, the party candidate for the Kashmir region.
Polling for four Legislative Council seats will take place on December 3,2012.The coalition partners National Conference and Congress are fighting PDP together.
