Fastest Kashmir Cyclist, Adil Teli On History TV

SRINAGAR: Adil Teli’s journey as the fastest man to cycle from Kashmir to Kanyakumari would be broadcast on History TV18’s programme, OMG Yeh Mera India. Teli last year made the Guinness World Record as the fastest man to cycle from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in South India’s Kerala state in a record time beating the previous record by about six hours.

Adil Teli, a Budgam cyclist who holds the record for K2K, a rare feat he achieved in March 2021.

Hailing from the Budgam area, Adil started his journey from Kashmir on March 22 and reached his destination on March 30.

Adil cycled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in eight days, one hour and 37 minutes beating the previous of the journey being cycled in eight days, seven hours and 38 minutes, held by a boy hailing from the state of Maharashtra and thus cycling the Guinness world record.

OMG Yeh Mera India is in its eighth season and it features people of novelty or talent from all across India. “It is an incredible feeling, a proud moment if I can call it one to be featured on the show,” Adil said.

In 2019, The show had featured a football trick shot artist, Huzaif Shah. He was the first Kashmiri to be featured on the show. Adil is the second Kashmiri to be featured on the platform. Huzaif meanwhile has since been featured on multiple platforms including the official Facebook page of Chelsea Football Club.

Adil said the shoot for the show took place in August. The promo was released two-three days ago. The programme will be aired on History TV18, tonight, on January 24, at 8 PM.
