On the second day of the Srinagar leg of ongoing Bayern FC Youth Cup – an international inter-school football tournament, four matches were played.

“Egged on by enthusiastic supporters, the teams put on a display of fine football skills,” organisers in a statement here said.

The statement said that the first match was played between Green Valley, Srinagar and International School, Srinagar. The latter won the match by 1-0. The second match was played between DPS Budgam and Oak Hill School which was won by the former – 1-0. The third match between KV no 1 and Burn Hall School was decided 3-0 in favour of the latter.

“The 4th Match between AGM’s City and Sanctorum School Sopore was an interesting one as the former won by a solitary goal.  The winners have qualified for semifinals which will be held tomorrow,” the statement added.

Pertinent to mention that this tournament is being held in the state for the first ever time.  It is being organised by Delhi Public School in collaboration with Real Kashmir Football Club and Adidas.
