Police have imposed restrictions in parts of north Srinagar following stone pelting incidents.
Sources said areas near Alamgari Bazaar and Hawal witnessed fierce stone throwing protests Tuesday morning following which police imposed restrictions of public movement.
Parts of Kashmir were rocked by a series of anti-Saudi demonstrations by members of Shiite community. On Sunday, Saudi Arabia executed a popular Shia cleric on charges of inciting unrest. Diplomatic crises have intensified between the two Muslim countries.
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Farooq Lone has said that restrictions have been imposed in the areas falling under Rainawari and Zadibal Police Stations to maintain “law and order”.
