Authorities on Tuesday said that class work will remain suspended in few colleges and higher secondary’s in Srinagar and two other districts of the Valley on April 18, as a “precautionary measure” to avoid student protests.

An official said that class work in Srinagar’s Amar Sing College will remain suspended while rest of the educational institutions will remain open in the district.

The district administration in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has decided to suspend class work at Government Degree College Kangan and Government Higher Secondary School Boys/Girls Kangan and rest will remain functional.

While the district administration in Sopore town of district Baramulla has decided to suspend the class work at boy’s degree college and boy’s higher secondary school in Sopore.
