SRINAGAR: Yet another doctor was killed by the virulent virus. Dr Naveed Bashir Runyal, son of Bashir Ahmed Runyal who was a General physician currently posted at the sub-district hospital Banihal has died. Dr Runiyal was 37.

Dr Runiyal was detected with Covid-19 almost a fortnight back two and was under treatment in Jammu. He died at GMC Jammu today. His father was a Commissioner in Jammu and Kashmir government and post-retirement he joined politics and contest an election, unsuccessfully. The family lives in Sunjwan, Jammu.

The Ramban district administration has condoled the sad demise.

Expressing his deepest shock DC, Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan on behalf of the district administration, conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and termed it a big loss to the administration and society at large.

He joined all staff of the district administration in consoling the bereaved family. He recalled Dr Naved Runyal a great Corona warrior who worked relentlessly in serving the people of Banihal especially the Covid-19 patients without caring for his life at such a young age. He will be remembered for his hard work, conscientious and selfless service to the mankind, DDC said.

The DDC prayed to the almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed noble soul and fortitude to the bereaved family.
