Senior separatist leader Masarat Alam Thursday said that India can’t achieve anything by registering cases against the separatist leaders in Kashmir Valley.

Talking to CNS, separatist leader Masarat Alam said that Kashmir is an issue that needs to be resolved.

“If you think Kashmir issue will disappear by registering an FIR against some separatist leader then you are wrong. This issue will re-surface and re-emerge every-time. It is an issue and we want its resolution,” Alam said and added that Government is living in a fool’s paradise and it believes that by lodging an FIR against a separatist leader, “it will crush the freedom struggle in Kashmir”.

Responding to a question, Alam said that he finds no difference between Omar Abdullah and Mufti regime.

“During Omar regime separatist leaders were not allowed to breathe and same is the case with the Mufti regime. Mufti somewhat tried to give a feeling that he will allow separatist leaders to vent their anger freely but it proved a hoax when we were arrested in Awantipora and not allowed to visit the bereaved family in Tral,” he said.

Masarat Alam said that he will not blame any reporter working in Kashmir for Indian media.
