SRINAGAR: A fire broke out at the MLA Hostel in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk area on Tuesday morning, around 11:50. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and began rescue operations, successfully containing the fire. Despite their swift response, several rooms on the first floor were damaged. Cooling operations are currently underway.
An official from the Fire and Emergency Department said, “Around 11:50, we were informed about the fire. A few rooms on the first floor were already damaged, but we contained the fire immediately. Cooling operations are ongoing, and the cause of the fire will be determined later.”
