SRINAGAR: A massive fire broke out in the Jalal Sahib area of Old Town, Baramulla, in North Kashmir on Monday, while efforts are ongoing to douse the flames.
Officials said the blaze started from one of the structures and quickly spread to nearby buildings in the congested locality.
Soon after the incident, locals immediately swung into action to contain the fire. The fire and emergency services later joined them.
Multiple fire tenders were pressed into service, and efforts are currently underway to extinguish the flames.
