SRINAGAR: A massive fire broke out in the New Colony area of Lal Bazar, Srinagar, on Saturday evening, engulfing at least five residential houses.
An official said that the fire started in one structure and quickly spread to nearby houses due to the congested layout of the area.
Fire and Emergency Services teams reached the spot and launched an operation to douse the flames. The firefighting operation is underway.
An official said that no loss of life has been reported so far. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. (JKNS)
