Candidates from various parts of the valley on Thursday staged a protest in press enclave against the Governor’s Administration for not releasing the list of the qualified candidates of Fire and Emergency department.

The protesting candidates while holding banners which read “we want justice,” “release of fire service list”, assembled at press colony and said that seven thousand students appeared in the written as well as in physical test held in 2013 for the post of fire man, drivers and junior assistants in fire and emergency department “but unfortunately, years have passed and there is no clue of the list,” said a protesting candidate Imtiyaz Ahmad.

In 2015, the recruitment was cancelled by government, later in December, 2018, the rescheduled both exams conducted by Transparency Recruitment Process (TRP). “We were under the impression that the list of qualified ones will be declared in first week of January but no list has been released till now,” said another candidate.
