SRINAGAR

Nine structures were damaged in different fire incidents across the valley, a police statement said on Wednesday.

Fire broke out in the joint residential house of Mohammad Shafi Goorsi, Jalal-ud-Din Goorsi and Abdul Rashid Goorsi sons of Nazir Goorsi resident of Jebat Branwar, Chadoora. Fire also engulfed the nearby cowshed of Jalal-ud-Din.

In this incident one horse, a bull, two cows were charred and both the structures were completely damaged. Fire tenders and locals of the area brought the fire under control.

Fire broke out in the shop of Salam Mantoo son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Waltangoo at Kund, Kulgam, resulting in the damage to the shop. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders and locals.

Fire also broke out in a cowshed cum firewood shed of Riyaz Ahmad Pir son of Gyas Din Pir resident of Marble colony Drugmulla, Kupwara, resulting in damage to the cowshed.

Fire broke out in the fire wood sheds of Ali Mohammad Payer, Farooq Ahmad Payer And Ishtiyaq Ahmad Payer residents of Sulkote Kupwara, resulting in damage to the sheds.

Fire broke out in two storied shop of Mohammad Ashraf Mir son of Mohammad Abdullah Mir resident of Checki Warnow, Lalpora resulting in partially damage to the structure.

Fire broke out in the residential house of  Mohammad Abdullah Mir son of Habib Mir resident of Herpora, Shopian resulting in complete damage  to the house.
