Two structures were damaged in two separate fire incidents in Ganderbal and Srinagar, police said Friday evening.

Fire broke out in a single storied residential house of Tariq Ahmad Raina son of Ghulam Mohammad Raina resident of Ghoipora Rezan Ganderbal, resulting in damage to the house.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in Aqal Mir Masjid Khanyar Srinagar, resulting in damage to tomb of the said Masjid.

Fire Tenders brought fire under control with the assistance of Police and locals.

Meanwhile, one person died while six others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

In Srinagar, an Alto 800 bearing registration number JK04/9426 and Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK04B/9631 met with an accident near Check Pohru, Nowgam, resulting in injuries to person boarding the Alto car. Both the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment.

A Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02A-3553 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Hajan Sumbal at Mirgund, Parimpora. The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.

 In Awantipora, an Auto load Carrier bearing registration number JK13B/1916 turned turtle at Kadlabal Charsoo, resulting in injuries to its driver Rayees Ahmad. Injured was shifted to Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01P-2176 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Yousuf Bhat resident of Bumhama Kupwara near SMHS Hospital.

In the accident, the motorcyclist was also injured. Both the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment.

In Ganderbal, an unknown vehicle hit a cyclist identified as Aamir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Watlar at Bypass Benhama Lar, resulting in his in spot death.

Police have registered a case in this regard.
