A mosque was partially damaged in a fire in Pampore township of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Monday.

Fire broke out in the Masjid Wahab Sahab, Khrew, last night, resulting in partial damage to the mosque, a police spokesman said.

Police has registered a case and started investigations to ascertain the cause of the fire, he said.

Fire also broke out in the residential House of Tariq Ahmad Tambacco son of Mohammad Abdullah resident of Bachidharwaza, Makhdoom Sahab, resulting in partial damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Jabbar Padda son of Abdul Gani resident of Nund Reshi colony, Bemina, Srinagar, resulting in partial damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.
