SRINAGAR: Three houses were destroyed in a major fire in a remote hilltop village in Ramban district of Jammu Kashmir early on Sunday, leaving several families homeless, according to Daily Excelsior.
Officials said no casualties were reported in the incident, which occurred in Gunz Top village of Trigam in Khari tehsil before dawn.
According to the authorities, the blaze began in one house and quickly spread to two adjoining structures, all largely constructed of wood. Local volunteers responded promptly and managed to extinguish the fire before it caused further damage.
