SRINAGAR: A fire has broken out in a shopping complex in the Regal Lane area of Lal Chowk in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, according to official sources.
They informed GNS that the fire started in a two-storey shopping complex at around 10:30 AM.
“The Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Department was informed and they arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames,” they added. They also mentioned that during the rescue operation, a firefighter and a civilian sustained injuries.
When contacted, an official from the F&ES Department confirmed to GNS that its firefighter, Gulzar Ahmad, and a civilian were injured during the rescue operation. “The fire is largely under control,” the official further stated. (GNS)
