Three residential houses were completely damaged in an overnight fire incident at Batpora village of Kupwara district.
Reports said that fire broke out in the house of Zulfikar Khan around 11:30 PM and soon engulfed two more residential houses of Zahoor Ahmad Khan and Fayaz Ahmad Khan.
Two cows and bulls each were charred to death as a cowshed was also destroyed in a devastating fire, no household items could be saved, reports claimed.
Locals said that the fire tenders reached the spot at least an hour after the incident. The locals tried hard to douse the fire but the devastating fire raised to ground the residential structures.
However, the cause of the fire is being ascertained, said an official.
