Fire that engulfed residential quarter in Naseem Bagh area of University of Kashmir has damaged the non-teaching staff property. Kashmir Life received a dozen photographs from the students which are being reproduced here.
As fire tenders are on job, students have joined to help the authorities to douse the fire.
Seven to eight fire brigades are on the job to douse the fire. More were on their way to Kashmir University from lal Chowk reportedly.
No casualty has been reported.
Witnesses said that a few Chinars too were gutted in the early Saturday fire.
So far, there is no confirmation as how the quarters caught the fire.
Witnesses said that the fire has been brought under control. And the students and authorities present were all praise for the fire brigade for their timely and brave actions.
