Fire Leaves Four Families Homeless in Bandipora

   

SRINAGAR: A devastating fire incident on Tuesday night in the Quil area of Bandipora district has left four families homeless, reducing three residential houses to ashes.

An official informed local news agency KNO that the fire originated in a house owned by Imran and Irfan, sons of Mohammad Maqbool. It then spread to the houses of Nazir Ahmad and Ashiq Hussain, son of Sonaullah, both residents of Quill Mukam.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident, but the flames completely consumed the three double-storied residential houses. Additionally, 15 sheep and three cows perished in the fire.

The official stated that until the fire was brought under control, four families found themselves without shelter, with property worth lakhs destroyed.

A police official mentioned that they have taken notice of the incident and are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Local residents have appealed to the district administration for compensation for the affected families.

Earlier, two overnight fire incidents were reported in the Kaloosa and Watrina areas of Bandipora district. (KNO)
