Police fired pellets to disperse the protesters who assembled and raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans in Naidkhai, district Bandipora, after Friday prayers.

Police sources said that the protesters were first chased out but they re-assembled and pelted stones on police.

The locals said that police fired tear gas shells and Pallets to disperse the protesters.

Naidkhai Hospital sources told Kashmir Life that they received two injured namely Aijaz Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Nabi Lone and Mairaj-ul-din, both residents of Naidkhai.

They added that both the injured have Pallet injuries and Aijaz was serious so he was referred to Srinagar, for specialized treatment.
