SRINAGAR: In a first, Delhi Public School, Srinagar successfully conducted the first SAT Examination scheduled on August 29, 2020, under the guidelines provided by ETS, USA. SAT or Scholastic Aptitude Test is an entrance exam used by almost every college and university in the west especially US to make admission decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil- and – paper test created and administered by the College Board.

The SAT is not only a highly recommended test but an extremely important one as it is the first criterion of eligibility. Most students take their SATs during their high school years.

In a statement spokesperson of DPS said that the candidates appearing in the examination expressed great joy. All of them seemed to be highly satisfied with the examination environment and professionalism exhibited by the SAT examination faculty of DPS, Srinagar.

On the occasion, the Principal, Alistair R A Freese, said, “We are so glad to be the trendsetters in Jammu and Kashmir.“ The exam marks the beginning of aspirants’ comfort and ease who wish to take the SAT exams. Moreover, this shall make the students in Srinagar aware of this exam and develop ‘SAT Culture’ so that our students don’t give up on their aspirations.”

Chairman Vijay Dhar congratulated the school on this achievement and said “I am proud that DPS Srinagar has accomplished this distinction of holding the first SAT exams in J&K. It is a testimony of the quality of our resources – both human and infrastructure.”

For the information of SAT enthusiast, it is pertinent to mention that Delhi Public School, Srinagar would be conducting forthcoming SAT examinations in the months of September and October 2020 as well.
