Bilal Mohi-u-Din Bhat, a young KAS officer has qualified Indian Forest Service’s exam. He is probably the fourth Kashmiri, after Irfan Rasool, Tawheed Deva and Irfan Ali Shah who cracked this exam .

Bilal is at serial number 23 and is one among the only three Muslim candidates who are in the selection list.
The young IFS officer is the son of Ghulam Mohi-ul-Din Bhat, additional DC Budgam.

Pertinently, there is change in trend and many Kashmiris are now qualifying Indian Civil Service exams. The trend breaker was Dr Shah Faisal, who bagged the first position in Indian Civil Services Exams in 2010.
