Five Cops Injured In North Kashmir Road Mishap

SRINAGAR: Five policemen including an Assistant Sub Inspector were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle in Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, officials said.

Mobile bunker of Special Operation Group (SOG) turned turtle in Kunzer.

Quoting the officials, news agency GNS reported that the accident took place near Pinjoora village of Kunzer after the driver lost control over the mobile bunker of the Special Operation Group (SOG).

The injured have been identified as ASI Harvander Singh, driver Mukhtar Ahmad, a SPO, SPO Ajaz Ahmad, constable Firdous Ahmad, and SPO Imtiyaz Ahmad.

Confirming the accident, a police officer told GNS that the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Magam for treatment.

Two of them-Ajaz Ahmad and Imtiyaz Ahmad—have been referred to SMHS hospital here for further treatment, he added.
