Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Sunday expressed grief over the death of five persons in a bus accident in Doda district.
The tragedy occurred when the ill-fated vehicle rolled down a gorge near Dhara in the hilly district, which has experienced fatal accidents with sustained frequency in the past.
In her condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed her heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved families in their hour of grief and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
She also wished speedy recovery to those injured in the accident and directed the divisional administration to immediately air-lift the seriously injured to GMC Jammu for best-possible treatment, an official spokesperson said this evening.
