SRINAGAR: Five more persons succumbed to the covid-19 during the last 24 in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Monday.

Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that three among the victims were from three from Kashmir Valley while two belonged to Jammu division, taking the total fatality count to 1891 in J&K. Those from Valley include a 65-year-old man from Hafroo Nagam, a 75-year-old man from Chanduina Ganderbal and a 65-year-old man from Bogam Shopian while two deaths from Jammu division were reported from J&K’s winter capital.

With these deaths, the total fatality count reached 1191 in the Valley while 701 have succumbed to the virus in Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 450 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (357), Baramulla (172), Budgam (110), Kupwara (91), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (83), Doda (64), Bandipora (60), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (49), Ganderbal (44), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(21), and Reasi.
