Five persons involved in ‘unlawful activities’ held in Shopian

Police on Monday said that it have arrested five persons involved in unlawful activities in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

“Acting on specific information, a police team carried out a raid at Zawoora, Kathohalan, Arihal and Shadab Karewa villages on Sunday night and arrested five persons,” a police officer told news agency GNS.

“Some posters of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit were recovered from the arrested persons during the preliminary investigation,” he said.

In this connection, a case under FIR Number 34/2020 under Unlawful Activities Act was registered in police station Shopian and further investigations were taken up.
