At least five shops were damaged in a fire incident which broke out at Teliyan Mohalla Arampora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on wee hours of Monday.
According to the locals, the fire which broke out around 3 am at Teliyan Mohallah Sopore resulted in complete damage to three shops and two other were damaged partially.
The said shops belonged to Ghulam Hasaan Dar, Abdul Majeed Dar, Mohammad Sultan Malik, Bashir Ahmed and Attaullah Dar however fire tenders put off the flames which were spotted at 3: 30 am in the area.
There was no report of injury in the fire which was believed to have been caused due to electric short circuit. However, Station House Officer (SHO) Sopore said a case has been registered and that an investigation was underway.
