SRINAGAR: A man was swept away by flashfloods while crossing a river in Poonch, officials said.
They said that Maqbool Hussain son of Kalla Hussain resident of Mohalla Kannas, Jhullas was crossing a river along with a cattle herd when flash floods hit and swept him away.
“Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was started by the army with the assistance of the locals to locate the person”, they said adding “No trace of him has been found as of now.” (GNS)
