The Magam sub-division hospital is like a floating place in knee deep waters.

The major chunk of the hospital area is under water for many days now and authorities are in deep slumber. “The stagnant water inside the hospital campus is detrimental to health,” an attendant said, “this water gives birth to countless diseases.”

More so, the patients who come to the hospital for the medical relief said that huge garbage is being dumped inside the hospital land. “there is no proper dumping site,” they said, “this results in many ailments and it is useless to come here as there is high risk of getting infection.”

“This is newly constructed hospital; the road is also incomplete in terms of macadamization as well,” an official of the hospital said.

When contacted, Block Medical Officer Magam said, “I have already requested Director Health Services to release funds to the contractors, so that filling of this waterlogged area in front of hospital could be done at the earliest.”
