Jhelum is continuously swelling as the flood threat remains persistent in South and Central Kashmir.

As per the latest figures issued by Irrigation and Flood Control department, Jhelum is flowing above danger mark at Sangam in Islamabad with recorded level at 27.2 feet.

At Ram Munshibagh in Srinagar, the present level of Jhelum has been recorded as 21.

Keeping the flood threat in view, many schools in Srinagar lying in low-lying area have been closed down.

Besides, some breaches have been reported in Pampore where Jhelum is marching in.
