SRINAGAR

Terming the statement of Indian External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid about Kunnan Poshpora, as shedding crocodile tears, senior separatist leader and National Front Chairman, Nayeem Khan said that if New Delhi’s would have felt ashamed on the tragedy then Indian Prime Minister, who was recently in Srinagar, would have himself spoken on the issue.

“It looks as Salman Khurshid was deputed to Srinagar, only to hide the failures of his Kashmir visit. Indian Prime Minister was himself in Srinagar, some days earlier, why didn’t he utter a word about Kunnan Poshpora, it seems that Salman had come to hide the failures of Manmohan visit,” Khan said while talking to senior workers and office bearers at his party head office. He added that if India is sincerely ashamed on the tragedies from Kunnan Poshpora to Shopian, it should investigate the same by some fair agency.

As per a statement Khan while talking about Salman Khurshid’s statement, also said that “Salman should know that like his rabbit, thousands of Kashmiris did not return after they were taken to the camps of occupied forces.” And added, “Salman Khurshid should stop shedding tears on his rabbit instead he should take practical measures to address the pain of thousands of those who are called half orphans and half widows only because of the occupied forces.”

On the completion of a year of Dastegeer Sahab Shrine incident in which Shrine was engulfed in Khanyaar, Khan has expressed his anguish that police has miserably failed to bring the culprits to book. “The police is free only to curb pro-freedom people and as for as the matters of public concern are concerned, police has failed to the extent that it looks like it is shielding the culprits who are responsible for engulfing the Dastageer Sahab Shrine a year ago.”
