SRINAGAR: In continuation to the joint mission of NTTA and SEOC to provide essential ration kits for those needy persons living in water bodies, who have been facing a lot of hardships due to the freezing of waters in lakes, a joint team of SEOC and NTTA distributed food kits among the affected, said the statement.
According to the statement, the distribution was done in presence of Aamir Ali, Chairman Institution of Engineers and Nodal Officer State Emergency Operation Centre Srinagar along with his team in Dal lake on Saturday.
“NTTA expressed their gratitude to the Nodal Officer and his team, as well as volunteers of Kashmir Welfare Trust for their help and support. The trust has been providing rations throughout the Kashmir valley after identifying needy families,” it said.
“Today, nearly 100 families were provided rations and other essential items including face masks, cooking oil, chilli powder, atta, meat, tea, salt and sanitary items,” said the statement.
