Forces fire in air to disperse protesters in Pulwama town

Clashes between protesters and forces erupted in Pulwama town on Monday.

Reports said that army resorted to aerial firing after youth pelted stones on them in the town.

Officials said that paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were rushed to the area to contain the protesters.

Meanwhile, reports said that parts of the town are observing shutdown against the killing of LeT militant in Samboora area of the district during the wee hours of Monday.

Shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is of the roads, reports added.
