SRINAGAR: The government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Old Barzulla area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.
A source said that CRPF and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police have sealed the Old Barzulla area and launched a search operation.
The heavy concentration of the forces was witnessed in the area and house to house search operation is going on, said an eyewitness.
However, it was not immediately known why the search operation was launched.
When contacted police station Sadder said they have no information about any search operation in the area.
Searches were underway in the area when last reports came in.
